I don't think that there's a better bridge, unless this particular
AsanteTalk is kaput... ?
Was it bridging when the IIe got to see the OSX computer ?

Although you could use Localtalk bridge software instead, these
AsanteTalks work just as well.
I've used (tens of) them for years, they just need to be reset from
time to time.

Well, at least it got to the point of asking for usename and password. After that is returned an error saying the server didn't respond. Perhaps I'll set everything back up this weekend and try with the AppleTalk preference set. Wish me luck!
