AFAIK Apple made at least two different RAM cards for the GS.
One with a maximum of 1 MB and one with 4 MB. See here:

And *that's* not an Apple card, either--it's by Sequential Systems.

The largest memory expansion cards that Apple made--for any Apple II
computer--were 1MB.
