Geoff, I wasn't trying to imply a problem within Tool128 per se
(although re-reading my original post I can see why you thought that),
just that Marinetti seems to have a problem working with it and/or
noticing that it is installed. I say this because as far as I'm aware,
the CHAP ON signifies that CHAP authentication will be attempted
during the PPP negotiation phase, but Marinetti seems to abort the
script as soon as it sees CHAP ON. I don't believe it would be doing
any hashing at this point? Maybe I'm wrong though? I also want to
highlight the very last question in my previous posting, as it could
*very* well be something that I'm doing wrong. My GS/OS experience is
limited but growing.... ;-)

OK, I don't have GSBug. I'll download a copy and see if I can work out
how to use it. Failing that, I'll see if Andrew can shed any light on
why my install might be behaving this way.
