Re: A.P.P.L.E. Presents the 2007 Apple II Programming Contest

I just want to make sure that I am reading the rules correctly. When
I submit my program, whether it wins or not, I turn publishing rights
to that program over to A.P.P.L.E.? I am referring to this,
specifically:

"All submissions to this contest will be published online and will
also be available to the general public on the A.P.P.L.E. Website.
All of the authors credits will remain on all programs but the rights
to publish will reside with A.P.P.L.E. with the exception of the
winning package which will be distributed via contract with A.P.P.L.E.
and the author. "

So if I write a cool game, and I submit it to the contest, and I don't
win, you still hold the rights to publish it and I get nothing? This
contest sounds cool and all, but if I spend all summer coding a neat
new hi-res game, you can bet your Donkey Kongs that I am going to want
to be the one deciding what I want to do with it.

So am I interpreting the rules correctly?
