CiderPress v3.0.0 has been released, with two minor updates.
- Thanks to some help from Jason Andersen, DreamGrafix images are now
supported.
- I removed the shareware registration screens. CiderPress is now free.
I want to thank the 270 people who felt my efforts were sufficiently
useful to warrant registration. I've had a lot of fun working on it
over the years, and knowing that my work is appreciated helps immensely.
It's hard to believe the first version of CiderPress shipped four years
ago this month. It seems like just yesterday.
I will, of course, continue to support it. It's become clear over the
past year or so that I don't really have the time to do meaningful
development anymore, however, so I've decided to open things up a bit.
The complete source code for CiderPress is now available for download,
under a standard BSD open-source license. The full Windows app and some
simple command-line utilities for Linux are included.

With luck I haven't omitted anything essential. I hope to have a
SourceForge repository set up soon.
