Hi,

you where right - on of the ICs was burned - I followed my nose on the
internal board. I have replaced the board in the Disk ][ with a one
from another drive I could not adjust - and it works!

Now the problems are gone - the Apple ][ Europlus starts friendly with
a special D.O.S: - need to boot itself into the installed language
card. The normal D.O.S. that came with the Apple //e was not booting
the Apple][.

I just have some remaining questions about the Apple but they are not
minor:

I have some photos and related questions:

The Set - is the display stand an original by Apple or third party?
I found a Photo of another Apple][ Plus online - was this an aditional
part?

A bunch of ROMs installed - looks like a second hand shop...
Is this normal ?

There is a strange switch on the keyboard analog board -
you can switch between "RESET" and CNTR (Control)?
Does anyone knows for what this switch is for?

Yours
