What exactly are you trying to do?  There might be another
way to do it...


Well, in a sense, everything that shows up on the IIgs screen
using GSOS is "printed" to the SHR screen.  A screen capture
utility would be all that is needed to save these screens.

Then a graphics utility running on another computer (PC or Mac)
could easily convert these SHR images to .gif format.

What if what I want to see is 320 x 400? Or an Appleworks Page Layout document? Or a regular AWGS document, or one of any other billion of situations where that isn't going to work?
