Yes he can do it for himself, using the Windows machines. If he has an
Internet connection for jis XP machine he can download the images to
that computer andthen download ADTPro from here: http://adtpro.sourceforge.net/
and following the instructions on this web site he can set things up
to transfer disk images from his XP machine to the Apple II.

I guarantee it's no problem and you don't need any technical
knowledge. And if he runs into any problems people here will be more
than willing to help.
