I think the point is that the image of a disk can not fit on a disk, i.e.
you can't transfer a ".dsk" image as a file and then unpack it.

ShrinkIt can help with this -- convert the disk images to .sdk with NuLib2
or CiderPress and then transfer them.

Of course, if the transfer is happening through a serial cable, you're
better off just using ADT since it avoids extra steps and works well with
just one drive.  (I use an AppleTalk network, so I move the images around
in .sdk form and then use Shrinkit to unpack them.)
