I guess I jumped the gun by far when I started playing with BASIC and
your 3-d engine..

Not to sound pushy but have you considered the next evolution to use Double Lo-res? It might ease the block effect a bit and still retain the smaller video ram use. Would it be too hard to write fast and easy plot and draw routines for DLR? I haven't programmed for it myself which is why I ask.

It wouldn't be very difficult at all. However, the trade-off between resolution and speed would mean ~5-7 FPS max. Really too slow to be a twitch game. 15 FPS is really too slow to be a twitch game as it is. I'll put the source out in a few days and you can do with it as you please.
