I'm with you, Charlie. My first Apple II was an unenhanced IIe and I
loved it. But when the IIgs came out with its backwards compatibility
in both software and hardware along with all the new features, I had
to have one. If Apple hadn't released the IIgs, I probably would be
an Amiga or Atari ST fan today. :-)
My current IIgs only needs a couple improvements and I'd be using it
for much of the daily tasks I use my current PC for. I'd be quite
happy to take part in a retro challenge with a IIgs decked out the way
I'd like. :-)
