It is not unusual to damage a 3.5mm headphone jack by wiggling the
plug too forcefully.  You may find that simply reflowing the solder
joints of the jack will fix the problem.  It's very unusual for
printed wiring on the main board to go "open" unless it has sustained
obvious trauma.  It's much more likely that the solder joints have
been cracked by physical stress, which can often be fixed by reflowing.
