ADTpro problems (again?)

Firstly, happy holidays!

I purchased a I-O Data USB to serial adaptor many years ago, and
unfortunately I-O Data never never updated the driver to OSX. This is
unfortunate as I really wanted to use my main machine (Powerbook G4) to
connect to my Apple II using ADTpro 0.1.3, instead of having to always
resort to my old LCIII running OS8 and macADT.

However, doing a random search, I just discovered the following driver:

http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Drivers/PL2303-OS-X-driver.shtml

...which is for PL2303 chipset USB to serial adaptors such as mine. I
installed the driver and have had great success connecting my Powerbook
to my Apple 1 replica (@2400 baud using Vince Briel's serial adaptor
for Apple 1), but unfortunately I have had limited success connecting
to my Apple II using ADTpro.

I have created an ADTpro prodos floppy using macADT (from the LCIII),
and it boots fine on my Apple II. The Super Serial Card (SSC) is in
slot 4 and I have reconfigured ADTpro to use this slot (this is the
same slot I use flawlessly with macADT). When I try to do a directory
search from the Apple II I get the following message in the Powerbook
ADTpro window "Request: directory contents", all seems fine except that
is all it does. Nothing else happens either on the Powerbook side or
the Apple II side, and I have to force quit out of ADTpro. Selecting
other options from the Apple side result is the same problem. The
Powerbook seems to get the order, but then nothing happens.
I have tried all the baud rates with no luck.

Does anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, or similar experiences.

Much thanks in advance.

Phil
