Yeah, they're good that way. I believe the '816 can sort of be plugged in
like that too. Except it's pointless and the whole phi2 A16-23 on the
databus upsets things a bit too.

That was my reason for wanting to use the '816. Sure I could do a banked
memory setup but I would really like to use that CPU.
Adding the extra RAM isn't too hard. I was considering either seeing if I
have some big SRAMS lying around, or just using 30pin simms (don't worry, I
have a few ideas how to make a non-invasive refresh scheme for them.).

I'm more than happy with 1MHz.
