That's not a platinum IIe. The keyboard is from the second-generation
biege IIe, and the motherboard is a pre-platinum European PAL
motherboard. How can I tell? The auxiliary slot is in line with slot 3,
and it has PAL written on it.
Platinum boards are most easily distinguished by the use of 64x4 DRAM
chips instead of 64x1 (meaning there is only two DRAMS on the board
instead of 8)
European platinum boards still contain the auxiliary slot inline with
slot 3, but do not support PAL video output.
I imagine whoever constructed this thing used a Euro board to make it
look more 'prototypy' compared to US native IIe's
