I measured the voltage on the new battery prior to installing it in the 
IIe. After several hours I took the card out and re-measured the voltage 
which was higher that the original measurement.

The battery on this card had failed  so I removed it and stored the card 
(I really don't remember how long ago this was.) When I thought the 
battery was failing on my second card, I ordered two replacement 
batteries and installed one of this card. Although not an original  
replacement, it has the same specs as the replacement battery on the 
second card. I have replaced both batteries before.

As far as I can tell, the switch settings, etc are the same on both cards
