different versions of Mockingboards

I have two Mockingboards. The oldest one has a 1982 copyright on it
and on the back side of it it has the letters MB1. It also has a chip
on it that i think is a speech chip. That chip has the letters SC-01-A
on it.
The newer of the two Mockingboards has a copyright date of 1985. It
has a model number of SSP2000, Rev D. It has a part number of D20137 B.
They both work fine. Is there any real difference between the two? Is
one better than the other? Does one have more features than the other?
