Hi Antares,

This kind of question keeps appearing a lot lately, and as I went
through all this recently myself, my advice is to use ADTPro. Maybe we
could get an update to the A2 FAQ to include ADTPro info?

ADTPro has the most options available to you for cabling, transfer
speed, and image support. I have run ADTPro successfully using both a
SSC card and the inbuilt IIgs serial port running at 115,200bps. The
other good thing about ADTPro is that it is actively being developed,
has good documentation on the web site, and people here on c.s.a2 to
help you if you get stuck. The server side is a java application, so
theoretically any OS with java and rxt support *should* work.

Check it out at:
http://adtpro.sourceforge.net/

Some notes about ADTPro:
* it is a ProDOS program (will *not* run under DOS3.3)
* can write ProDOS images of any size - eg. 140K, 800K, hard disk
images
* can write DOS3.3 images
* can use the SSC in 8 bit and 16 bit apples (at 115,200bps)
* can use the IIgs serial port (at 115,200bps)

hope this helps!

cheers,
