What is truly cool is this thing came with an imagewriter (original in a
box that has maybe point of manufacture postal detail on it). This
imagewriter is much lighter than the ][. It looks like one of those Star
printers that came with my first apple.
I believe the Imagewriter is parallel, while the Imagewriter II is serial.
Just an FYI for clarification.
The Imagewriter is a serial printer, with a standard DB-25 connector instead
of the 8-pin mini-DIN connector that Apple used on later equipment.
It also weighs a ton, compared to most other dot-matrix printers. Several
of the internal components are metal castings, instead of sheet-metal
stampings or plastic. If the OP's printer really is an Imagewriter, it
should weigh more than any Apple II.
