Re: UltraMacros Manual?
The latest manual for UltraMacros came with "Ultra 4.0," or UltraMacros
4.3 (same manual for both). When UltraMacros was merged into Appleworks
5, no manual was included for the UltraMacros part. You were expected
to buy UltraMacros 4.3 to get a manual. Even so, the manual was only a
continuation of the original manual, which you have.
The AppleWorks 5 disk contained a complicated default macro set and
little in the way of instructions, which all but shut out new and
novice users of learning this programming gem. The UltraMacros 4.3
manual is very rare, and although I have no idea where in my house it
is located at the moment, I wouldn't part with it for anything.
I believe ifkey was replaced with keyto or k=key. With k=key, you
would go into a loop where you would read each key. If k = 27 excape
was pressed. If k = 13 Return was pressed. The problem with keyto was
that there was no escape (not sure?). All that is kind of vague
because I always used k=key and did not use ifkey or keyto. I will try
to find that manual or read some of my TEXAS II newsletters to see what
happed to ifkey.
The current version of the Ultra Compiler is v4.4.
