It's a machine translation, but what I think it's saying is that the
computer was modified to accept and display katakana script...that should
just be a character-generator ROM and a keyboard with different markings on
the keys.  I'd guess there's also a switch to go back to US ASCII, as with
European machines, but the text makes no mention of that.
