CF cards in True IDE mode can be used with anything that is able to 
acces an IDE drive in LBA mode. Usually these cards do not work with 
controllers that stick to the old Cylinder-Head-Sector scheme, though it 
works sometimes.

Anyway, trying it will not damage your controller or CF card. Except for 
the data on it, of course ;-)
