Re: DHR used?
> Does anyone have anything?
A few games used DHR for title screens (read: Lame cop-out excuse to
put DHR on the packaging as a feature): bruce lee, who framed rodger
rabbit
There were a good number of great games that fully used full dhr
graphics: Spiderbot, Rad Warrior (USA port of "Antirad"), Maniac
Mansion, All sierra graphics games (King's Quest, Leisure Suit Larry,
Black Cauldron, Police Quest), Airheart, California Games, Catacombs
(softdisk, by John Romero of ID software fame)
There were quite a few paint programs as well, I remember Beagle Draw
being one of them. Multiscribe, aka Beagle Write, used DHR graphics
for word processing (with mouse!). Geos was a full mouse-driven GUI
that used DHR.
I also wrote a kooky experiment earlier this week to demonstrate how
you can generate pseudo-colors to push beyond the perceptual 16-color
limit of DHR. (brendan.robert.googlepages.com/pseudo-colorexperiment)
