have a look at the reset pin on the 6502. it may be stuck.
excuse my memory but i think it normally sits high and goes low for a few
milliseconds before returning high.
you can compare it with the working one.
i had a euro plus that got stuck in this way and it turned out to be a
faulty capacitor around the (again from memory) 555 timer in the reset
circuit.
sorry if my details are a little sketchy, its been a long time and i am away
from my manuals.
