I have it mostly figured now. I think. In terminal mode, the female D25
functions as a standard D25 female. Ie a terminal, as its name implies.
I got confused because the pin assignments change when the card is
swapped between terminal and normal modes.

I've only ever found pinouts for the standard female-female null-modem
cables.
Something in my mind keeps telling me that the pinouts are identical
for a M-M as an F-F cable, but could someone confirm that for me?
One last thing for this post. I made a straight-through cable up last
night for connecting the apple | c64 | 386 notebook to the Debian box.
I highly doubted that it would work, as I estimated the length
somewhere between 8 and 9 metres.
It worked perfectly with the apple @ 19200bps.
The only problem I had is the standard problem I have with serial
cables. I have to plug it in after both PCs are on, or else one of them
will not power up.
