***   Your point is a good one, but It would be reason if enough
people demanded them. I often hear laments from people buying new
computers that they don't have floppy drives. Many people have backlogs of
them and friends often show up with them.

***   Sure, and they may not be necessary in many laptops, However, I
often get a variety of storage devices shoved at me when I am on the road
and am glad I have floppy, CD, and Flash Memory drives on my laptop.
