There are people that still have Ford Model-T's, but that is not a 
sufficient reason for every car manufacture to include a hand 
crank on today's cars, just so that hand cranks will still be 
available for Model-T owners.

There are always people that still have older equipment and there 
may even be a business reason for some businesses (a print shop 
for example) to cater to their needs.  But that is also not a 
sufficiently good reason for new equipment to continue to include 
Model-T hand cranks.

I do not want a floppy disk in my iBook (waste of space that can 
be better used for CD, Battery, WiFi, Disk, and other electronic 
guts.

I think my personal computer needs are more typical of the average 
user today.  If anyone wants a floppy, USB attached drives are 
available.  Feel free to get one when you decide to upgrade your 
PC laptop one day.
