Thanks to for all the help from everyone regarding my resoration
project.

I did the swap IC method with a known good Apple II+ motherboard and
narrowed the problem down to one IC. I don't have the offending chip
with me right now, but I believe it was the 74LS08 at B13.

However there still seems to be a slight problem with the trace fix
that was done, The computer gives random characters from keyboard
input...I believe it is some dry solder joints giving me the problem
and it should be easy to fix.

One side benefit to having the traces fixed is that the people who
fixed the motherboard also washed it, so it now looks brand new.

My next job is to replace 5 dead key swiches and it's finally done.
I fixed one last night as a test. I need to be a little careful with
the amout of heat I apply from with iron, but I belive it shouldn't be
too big a problem to replace the remaining 4 bad keys.

I'm so happy that I could bring this computer back from the spider
infested place were it lived for the last 29 years. It's 99% complete
and the finish line is in sight ;-)

Thanks again

Nice job, Phil!

I know how good it will feel to cross that finish line. ;-)
