Not my field of expertise, but I'm thinking that a lot of timing-critical ML code would get broken. I think there's a point where accelerating an Apple II becomes a bit silly (at least in practical terms -- I'm sure there's a few hardware hackers who'd disagree). I can't imagine anyone complaining that a 50Mhz Apple II isn't fast enough ;-) -s
