Scanning Sather's "Understanding the Apple II"

Hello,

I managed to get a copy of Jim Sather's "Understanding the Apple II" 
book through a library (inter-library loan). A very worthwhile read.

I could scan it and upload it somewhere as PDF, but then I don't feel 
like duplicating somebody else's work, so I'd be interested in knowing 
if it is already available somewhere and/or in the works.

Also, is Jim and/or "Quality Software" still around? I wouldn't like to 
step on his toes without asking.
