I don't know about the cable compatibility but IIRC not all NEC
Multisyncs are capable of synching to 15 khz.

As was said earlier *most* multisyncs/autosyncs (or whatever they are
called - the name "Multisync" is AFAIK a trademark of NEC/Mitsubishi)
don't support this relatively low frequency as it is not a VGA
frequency.
