much like to get my //e back on again, preferably with a power supply
that runs cooler.

Just to add a little to Jorge's excellent repair guide...

There is a good chance that you simply overloaded it enough to
blow the (possibly fatigued) fuse.  It's worth risking a new fuse
to see if that's all that's needed.
