I didn't have to walk more than 5 feet in my shop..

A screwdriver to pull the chips and sockets...
bend back and forth and the socket contacts
came right off..  A dremel to cut the Disk II
board down..  Dremel for cutting of IDE connector
from the CDROM.  Soldering iron...

You should see the back of the board :-)

The level translator IC's are an incredibly
ugly hack..  I bent alternating pins up/down
so I could solder to them..  They are just
hanging on the wires...

It works :-)

I drew the schematic on my CAD program
(apple II, programmed by me) but I haven't
taken the time to stick it on the milling
machine etc.
