    I have reference book such as "Understanding the Apple II+ and Apple 
//e" which it contains all the deep technical explanation how this computer 
works.  I wonder if you have any reference book for Commodre 1541 or find in 
the google search?
    Apple II uses DOS 3.3, ProDOS, Pascal, and CP/M as the operating system. 
Apple Macintosh's operating system up to 7.5 version use HFS format and 
newer Apple Macintosh (looks like PC as Mac OSX) uses Unix like format 
operating system (I believe FreeBSD?).
    I am not sure what you are referring the operating system on Commodore 
1541 and its RAM.  Please clarify in details.
