If you arrange your files carefully, the performance differences between
ProDOS and HFS may not matter.  For example, if you put all the stuff
you work on regularly in the first 4*32=128MB, and then use HFS for
storage (disk images, ShrinkIt archives, sound/image libraries), you can
get the low overhead of ProDOS with the large storage capacity of HFS.

I've used the card in 8-volume mode for brief periods while testing, but
I don't remember how it interacted with the GS/OS driver.
