You said you swapped out the Video ROM, and if so, and
the screen is black, then there is either no contact at
some point with the video ROM socket, or nothing is on
the chip. Try putting back the original video ROM and
any CPU and see if it works, and if it does, then there
is a problem with your replacement video ROM.
