Does the led turn on ?
Does the power supply make a buzzing noise ?
Are there any cards plugged in any slot (remove them) ?
Check each slot's contacts, are any of the slot's contacts bent so that
it's shorting at the opposite side ?
Does it beep when turned on or after a reset or typing ctrl-G ?
Have you tried to get the image back by re-adjusting the video ouput
level potentiometer on the mlb ?
Remove the cpu, remove the roms, turn it on, what's on the screen ?
Is it carpeted the place where you were upgrading it ?
