Maybe they looked like that because some of them _were_ used as props in Battlestar Galactica?

I remember seeing a movie in the early 1980s with a scene set in a high-
tech computer control room. It was completely spoiled for me though, because I recognised the terminal keyboards for what they were: Commodore VIC20s.

IIRC in Battlestar Galatica they used the same intercom's that we had at work, Stentofon (I still think they look cool so I saved a few of them from the garbage, probably more or less useless without the central though...)

I like the design of the Apple II too so I got myself a IIe rather than a IIgs (I wanted a II Europlus but they were long between and pricy on eBay at the time (last year). I wanted an A2 to revive some nice old memories.)
