Re: GS Keyboard

Okay, wrapped up the deal today. I tried to clean his original keyboard
in the dishwasher, and made a special box to dry it in so it would be
ready sooner. Same three keys still wouldn't work, so I guess it's a
good thing I bought another off of eBay. While I was at his house, I
cleaned up his computer a little bit - got the disk drive heads and
blew some dust out of his power supply and Imagewriter //. Then I
tackled his color printing problem. Seems it was really simple - he
never bothered to check the setup on his software. I showed him how to
do it, and let him know that from now on, all he has to do when he runs
that program is make sure he has a color ribbon in the printer. Charged
him $30 (cheap, I know) and told him if he ever needed anything else to
call. He said he'd let other people know what I can do as well, so I'll
get a little word-of-mouth advertising.

Thanks again everyone, for the advice and sympathy. Don't know if this
will lead to something better, but it was fun while it lasted.

Cool, Ralph--you're an Apple doctor who makes house calls! ;-)
