I am not sure it is a SWIM chip.
1) It does have an Apple Copyright on it but a different date ('87 vs
'88)
I wonder if it is a predecessor to the SWIM that can do MFM but not HD
MFM?
2) It has a different part number:
PCT:
745 V I662
VGT7764-6018
010-0101-1
(C)(M) APPLE 1987
KOREA A
Apple II 3.5" Disk Controller:
VLSI
9137BS 1731412
VC2982-0002
343S0061-A
(M)(C) APPLE 88
If you search for 343S0061 on Google you should find many suppliers of
used chips.
