To follow up my own posting, I finally got it working by manually putting
a file called SCC Manager in the Drivers folder.  For some reason, it
wasn't being installed by the installer.  Once I had that file in place
and set my user name, I actually got the Mac HD icon to appear on the GS
screen.  Whew!  What a job. I've been working on this for a week and
couldn't get it work.  I didn't install the SCC Manager manually because I
didn't realize it needed to be there and the installer skipped it for some
reason too.
