Agreed. The original Apple IIe was an Apple II+ with the language
card, lower case, and a better keyboard. The only new video mode
was 80 column text and you had to add a card to do that just like
the Apple II+. Shortly after its introduction, Apple Inc. realized
that the Apple IIe could be modified to use the 80-column circuitry
to make double-hi-res graphics but you still had to plug in a card.
