Nope.  It was a trade off to make the mouse work with a card plugged
into the slot.  Then again, there's really not much software that
supported the IIe mouse (at least not gamewise).

Really?  I've been told this before, but honestly I don't see it.
Other than loading System 6 slightly faster and freeing up the one
slot, I just don't see the advantage.
