>I'm only the page-turning robot at the scanner. ;-)
I saw an article in a newspaper that described a page
turning, scanning robot. Some sort of archive project
for very old texts...
I wonder if there are consumer editions of this machine?
You could use a good copy/scanner machine that auto
feeds input documents. Cut the spine off your book,
put it in the hopper, and the machine pulls the pages
off one at a time and scans them... You need access
to a really good machine though, one that will copy
front and back automatically, or you have to run the
pages through twice, once for each side.
I have access to an auto-feed scanner/copier if anyone
wants to scan books.. You have to be willing to cut
the spine off though. I have a good saw setup that will
cut the book.
