Well, I removed the chips, cleaned the leads. Seems to work, except there are some things happening that i'm not sure of. When I copy large directory full of files from one partition to another, it will get partially through the copy and then stop. The computer isn't locked up as the mouse pointer still moves. But can't click on anything. Have to press Ctrl-alt-reset to restart the computer.
Beach Comber and Mr.Fixit all complete without problems. Don't know what's going on, but I hope it's nothing serious.
