To be fair, that sort of pricing is so common that I suspect at least
some others use the pricing scheme without giving any thought to
why it is in common use.  You so rarely see an even price point, that
there must be a good reason for doing "$29.99" even if the person who
follows the tactic doesn't know why.

The odd thing is, I do round such prices off, but upwards.  So when I
see $89.95, I see $90.00
