I suck at soldering and have never been successfull at desoldering(I
know how to do it, I just usually end up botching it)... but if I had
someone replace the processor socket on my IIgs with a better one would
it be likely to alleviate some of these errors? maybe run extra wiring
from the power socket to the slot being used for it?(and maybe some of
the other slots? most of them are filled in this system)
Probably easier to change out the motherboard. As you seem to be aware, the
processor socket will hold up to so many insertions/extractions before it
becomes loose. You might try bending your pins in a little but that would be
a desperate recommendation.
