Knut,

Please consider that it works!

And I got it out of the basic program made by Apple. I also played around with the basic program where I found it, FLASHCARDS, to test this feature. I have previously sent you disk images with this program, it is on the disk named: Apple Extended 80-Column Text - AppleColor Card Demo, The (19xx)(Apple)(Disk 2 of 2).dsk

Yes, this demo software works fine on two RGB cards, but one of them is defective. I have no chance to swap the chip yet.

Did you apply the jumper on the RGB card? I did ask this before but have got no reply. The jumper put 5V on pin 15 in the DB15 and the CGA interface needs it to create the sync signals.

You claim that $600B (24578) is to enable and disable color/monochrome. I don't think that it is correct.

You accusing me of lying? It works!

I apologize, but I did not say that you are lying. We are trying to learn something new when we have never seen this before. It looks like Commodore 64's screen. I suspect that $600B is not working if demo disk is not running. I believe that you claim $600B to be working with some game software. It is because demo disk already loaded DHGR's routine in memory before $600B begins to work or function properly.

You are right.

I have to run the demo disk first. What does it is that it loads the PRODOS HIRES drivers for basic.

I stand corrected.

It does not work without the PRODOS HIRES drivers, sorry.

One could make a diskette that did the same loading and executed the POKE in its STARTUP but it would maybe be inconvenient.

If this explanation had been in your previous post this would have felt much better.

I did exactly what I wrote, but had run the demo disk first.

Now, you don't need to run demo disk. You can type, "$C05E" and "$C05F" until it goes DHGR in color before you can run game software. We are trying to do something in other way so we don't have to depend on demo disk. Do you know what I mean. Please feedback what you have experienced with demo program and we are interested to hear.

Please provide exactly what to type, or put in the HELLO of a disk...
