First, if the documentation you have is for v1.0 of AWGS then it might
list a Choose Printer menu item but if you are using AWGS v1.1 I think
they removed that command to switch things to work the way newer
versions of GS/OS work.

If you are using a newer version of GS/OS (I'm not sure when it
changed but possibly in System 4) printers are now chosen through the
Direct Connect control panel.  I think there is a different control
panel if you are using a networked printer.

Go to the Control Panel under the Apple menu and open the Direct
Connect control panel.  Once there you can choose the port that the
printer is connected to and the printer that is connected.  The
options in those two lists will change depending on what port and
printer drivers you have installed in you *:System:Drivers: folder and
are marked as active (you can make a driver inactive by opening the
drivers folder in the finder, selecting a driver, picking the "Icon
Info..." menu item from the "Special" menu and then checking the
"Inactive" checkbox; uncheck that checkbox to make the driver active
again; changes won't take effect until you reboot).

The only way to use more than two 3.5" drives is to install a 3.5"
drive controller card in an empty slot.  If you have a 3.5" controller
card in slot 6 and set you "Slots" control panel to have slot 5 as
"Smart Port" and slot 6 as "Your Card" then you can hook up two 3.5"
drives to the IIgs' disk port and as many as the card will let you
(usually two) to the controller card in slot 6.

Getting a mass storage device of some kind makes using a IIgs much
more pleasant.  Options include hard drives, zip drives, SyQuest
drives, flopticals, compact flash cards etcetera.
