BastelCard prototyping board...Hans Franke showed a new board at Kfest this year made for that very purpose. Its a board with flash rom and many gates already on it for 'rapid' prototyping. It has the slot address lines demultiplexed so you don't even need any steering chips, just drop your logic on there and go.
